Gomez will play in the Korean Baseball Organization in 2016.
Gomez declined an outright assignment in August in hopes of landing a job in free agency, but after hitting just .181/.212/.323 in a 66 game stint with the Brewers this season, it appears there was little interest in the 27-year-old. He'll look for regular at bats in Korea rather than serve as organizational depth in a team's minors.
