Hedges is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
After an extended run as Cleveland's No. 1 catcher, Hedges has transitioned back to the No. 2 role following Roberto Perez's return from the 60-day injured list July 3. Hedges will likely be limited to between one and three starts per week when Perez is healthy.
