Clevinger pitched six dominant innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out eight for Triple-A Columbus in Thursday's Opening Day game.
Not many minor-league pitchers are worth keeping a close eye on in single-season fantasy leagues, but Clevinger is an exception. Although his Cactus League numbers were ugly in limited innings, his production during the Indians' World Series run last year makes him an attractive option later in the MLB season. If Clevinger can dominate Triple-A hitters like he showed Thursday, then Tribe manager Terry Francona won't hesitate to call up the right-hander as soon as a need arises.
