Fry will become a free agent after being outrighted to Triple-A Charlotte, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The lefty appeared in only six games this season for the White Sox and posted a 10.80 ERA. Fry enjoyed some big-league success in 2020, pitching to a 3.66 ERA in 19.2 innings, but his most recent action is unlikely to merit a sizable deal this offseason.
