Martin elected free agency after he cleared outright waivers Saturday.
Martin was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock in mid-September, and he'll now become a free agent heading into the offseason. The 26-year-old appeared in 58 major-league games this year and slashed .208/.248/.354 with six home runs, 17 RBI, 14 runs and three stolen bases.
