White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu continued the stellar start to his career Friday, accounting for six runs in a 9-6 walkoff win over the Rays.
Abreu had already driven in two runs before he stepped to the plate with the bases load in the bottom of the ninth, and he added four more in the most dramatic fashion possible. Abreu clubbed his second home run of the game to end the game, finishing 3 for 5 with six RBI.
Abreu has been everything the White Sox could have hoped so far, hitting .263/.336/.632 with nine home runs and 27 RBI through his first 24 games.
