A hand injury will prevent Astros second baseman Jose Altuve from starting Friday night against Tampa Bay.
Altuve, who has hit safely in nine of 10 games played in June, sustained the injury Thursday night on a hit-by-pitch. He had played in all but one of his team's games this season.
