Astros second baseman Jose Altuve was forced out of Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks after getting hit on the hand by a pitch in the seventh inning. He underwent X-rays after the game, which came back negative, MLB.com reports.
Altuve recorded two hits before the injury and is hitting .319 with two homers and 22 RBI in 282 at-bats this season. His status remains uncertain for Friday against Tampa Bay.
