White Sox starter Jose Quintana allowed a Derek Jeter RBI single in the first inning Monday afternoon in New York. The game was then delayed by almost two hours and he couldn't return when play resumed.

Quintana was replaced by Dylan Axelrod, who gave up eight runs -- six earned -- over his next 2 1/3 innings. With New York keeping the White Sox offense down, Quintana ended up suffering the loss on the outing to fall to 7-5 on the season with a 3.69 ERA.

Quintana allowed just one run on two hits over an inning of work. He threw 20 pitches and struck out one. Quintana lost for the first time in his last four appearances as he had recorded quality starts in each of his last three starts. He's been solid for the White Sox and makes his next appearance Saturday at Baltimore.
