White Sox starter Jose Quintana took the mound Tuesday at home against the Astros. Quintana was quality on the outing, but couldn't earn the win as Chicago didn't distance themselves from Houston until after he left.

Quintana took the no-decision and gave up three earned runs on eight hits and three walks over 7 2/3 innings. He struck out eight batters over 118 pitches and his ERA is now at 3.66 on the year.

The 24-year-old has been good this season with a 7-4 record. He's had quality starts in three straight, though he's won just one of those. Quintana will make his next scheduled start for Chicago on Monday to open a series in New York against the Yankees.
