The Athletics released Suarez on Tuesday.
Suarez was DFA'd by the A's last week, and the organization will officially part ways with the 28-year-old southpaw now that he's cleared waivers. He owns a 5.87 ERA and 1.61 WHIP across 61.1 innings this season and may need to settle for a minor-league contract in order to secure his next opportunity.
