Tigers starting pitcher Justin Verlander turned a dominating performance but failed to factor into the decision in Saturday's loss to the A's in Game 2 of the American League Division Series.
Verlander allowed four hits and one walk while striking out 11 over seven scoreless innings of a 1-0 defeat.
