Angels right fielder Kole Calhoun had the biggest hit of the night on Thursday. Calhoun ripped a two-run double in the top of the ninth inning, giving the Halos a 7-5 lead over the Royals. They would go on to win the game 7-6 after trailing for most of the contest.
Calhoun, who went 2 for 5 on Thursday, has cooled off after a hot month of July. In 12 games so far in August, Calhoun is batting .239, though he does have three home runs and six RBI in that span.
