Munoz struck out two and did not allow a hit, walk or run over 1.1 innings to earn the save in Saturday's 6-3 win over the White Sox.
Munoz allowed a runner he inherited from Gregory Santos to score on a wild pitch in the eighth inning. In the ninth, Munoz was sharp to finish off his 17th save of the campaign. This was the second outing in a row in which he allowed an inherited runner to score, but he has not been charged with a run over his last 9.1 innings despite a modest 8:5 K:BB in that span. For the season, Munoz has a 1.31 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 51:18 K:BB through 41.1 innings.
