Albers gave up one run on one hit and one walk while striking out five in six innings Sunday against the A's, picking up his third win of the season.
The 31-year-old lefty rebounded from an outing where the Yankees tagged him for 11 hits. He surrendered a solo home run to Matt Olson in the top of the sixth, which served as the lone hit he gave up on the evening. His 4.18 FIP, 4.46 xFIP and utter lack of pedigree suggest he will not be able to sustain his 3.43 ERA over the rest of the season. Look for him to settle in as a standard back-of-the-rotation starter.
