Wojciechowski re-signed Feb. 8 with the Mariners on a minor-league contract.
After finishing the 2021 season at Triple-A Tacoma within the Mariners organization, Wojciechowski elected free agency in November. He ultimately decided a return to Seattle was his best option, and while his new deal likely includes an invitation to big-league camp, he's probably not a serious threat for the Mariners' Opening Day rotation. The 33-year-old right-hander has spent parts of five seasons in the majors from 2015 through 2021, logging a lifetime 5.93 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 21.5 percent strikeout rate across 202 innings over stops with the Astros, Reds, Orioles and Yankees.
