Santos (biceps) continued his rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma with one-inning scoreless appearances Wednesday and Saturday, allowing one hit and two walks while recording a strikeout over that span.
Santos has now logged 5.1 innings across six appearances with the Rainiers, allowing just one run on two hits but also posting a crooked 6:7 K:BB. While the spotty control is somewhat of a concern, Santos' arm appears primed for a return to the big-league bullpen as the Mariners make a push for a wild-card spot during the final week of the regular season.
