Chargois was charged with his second blown save of the season in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday, allowing an earned run on a solo home run and a walk over one inning. He struck out one.
Chargois' outing had a little bit of everything, with the veteran right-hander allowing a game-tying, one-out solo shot to the second batter he faced in the seventh inning, Leody Taveras. Chargois would get out of the frame without any further damage, but he set the early stage for a critical loss for the Mariners. The 33-year-old came into the outing on a nine-appearance run of strong performances, as he'd allowed just one earned run on two hits and three walks over his previous 7.2 innings.
