Rivas went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles in an extra-inning win over the Giants on Friday.
Rivas played an integral part in locking in a victory for Dan Wilson in his managerial debut, rapping out his first RBI single in the eighth as part of a four-run, game-tying rally. Rivas then delivered in an even higher-leverage scenario two frames later, knocking in pinch runner Dylan Moore from third base in the 10th with the walk-off knock. The bottom-of-the-order shortstop has been contributing consistently despite his unfavorable lineup position, with Friday's performance being his fourth consecutive two-hit effort. Rivas doesn't offer much in the way of power, but his recent knack for consistent contact has led to him generating a .288 average and .362 on-base percentage across his first 59 big-league plate appearances.
