The Mariners signed Williams to a minor-league contract Friday, Paul Braverman of the Tacoma Rainiers reports.
After being cut by the Giants on July 17, Williams will report to Triple-A Tacoma after striking a deal with the Mariners on Friday. The right-hander has compiled a 6.81 ERA and 1.71 WHIP with 45 strikeouts over 39.2 innings in 27 appearances with Triple-A Sacramento this year, including three starts.
