Miley (6-4) allowed five runs on seven hits with no walks and one strikeout over four innings during Wednesday's 8-1 loss to the Pirates.
Miley only threw 74 pitches (48 for strikes) in his first start back from dealing with shoulder inflammation that landed him on the DL. He'll look to go deeper into his next scheduled start Monday at Houston.
