The Marlins outrighted McCaughan to Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.
McCaughan has been outrighted before, so he can exercise his right to free agency if he wants. The right-hander posted an unsightly 6.21 ERA over 42 frames between the Marlins and Guardians in 2024.
