The Marlins designated Wall for assignment Monday.
Wall was moved off the Marlins' 40-man roster to clear room for right-hander Mike Baumann, whom the Marlins claimed off waivers from the Angels. A waiver claim himself back in July, Wall had a brief stint with the Marlins before he was optioned to Jacksonville on Aug. 3. The 28-year-old outfielder has produced an overall .282/.380/.396 slash line with five home runs and 16 stolen bases over 286 plate appearances at the Triple-A level between Jacksonville and Gwinnett this season.
