The Marlins selected Anderson's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.
The right-hander remained in the organization after being designated for assignment by Miami in August, and he'll now receive another look in the big leagues. Anderson has made five appearances in his time with the Marlins and Rangers this season and has a 9.64 ERA, 2.29 WHIP and 9:1 K:BB over 14 innings.
