The Marlins outrighted Williams to Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.
Williams will finish the season as a member of the Miami organization after none of baseball's other 29 teams were willing to put in a waiver claim for the reliever when he was designated for assignment last week. Before losing his spot on the 40-man roster, Williams made six appearances out of the Miami bullpen, giving up six runs (five earned) in 6.1 innings.
