The Diamondbacks released Kepler on Tuesday.
After previously being removed from the 40-man roster, Kepler is now a free agent, having cleared waivers. The veteran outfielder has managed just a .565 OPS in 145 plate appearances, and with the minor-league season winding down, he could wait until the winter to look for a new landing spot.
