Cabrera (thumb) could be activated from the disabled list Thursday prior to the Mets' game with the Padres, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Although Cabrera wasn't placed on the DL until May 16, the move was retroactive to May 14, meaning that the infielder is already eligible to return to action. He reportedly was seen in the Mets' clubhouse (meaning he's back from his rehab assignment), so it seems like his return to the lineup is imminent. No move has officially been made yet, but more information on his status should come forth as Thursday's game time approaches.
