Baty is starting at third base and batting eighth Friday versus Atlanta.
Max Fried is on the mound for Atlanta, and this marks Baty's first start against a left-hander since he was called up April 17. The 23-year-old is 7-for-15 (.467) with a double and a homer over his last five games and looks to be emerging as the Mets' full-on everyday third baseman.
