Senga struck out one and walked one in a scoreless ninth inning Monday against the Rays to secure his fifth save of the season.
Senga entered with a one-run lead and worked around a leadoff walk to Jonny DeLuca to preserve the victory. The right-hander has been sharp throughout August, collecting all five of his saves while allowing just two runs across 10.1 innings with a 12:5 K:BB. Senga should continue to serve as the Mets' primary ninth-inning option until Devin Williams (shoulder) returns.
