Semien is out of the lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader with Atlanta.
The veteran second baseman will get a breather for the first contest of the day, but expect him to return to the starting nine for the nightcap. Brett Baty will receive the nod at second base and will bat eighth in Game 1 of the twin bill.
