Semien is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.
The Mets will give Semien a breather after he started in each of the last 10 games while slashing .222/.310/.417 with two home runs, one steal, six RBI and six runs during that stretch. Brett Baty will replace Semien at second base and will bat eighth.
