The Mets recalled Perez from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Perez is slashing just .209/.326/.318 through 176 plate appearances in the minors this season. He will be called up to provide extra depth behind Francisco Alvarez and Omar Narvaez, and he is unlikely to see many opportunities at the plate with the Mets.
