Narvaez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in San Francisco, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
The left-handed-hitting Narvaez started behind the plate Tuesday, but with southpaw Blake Snell on the hill for the Giants on Wednesday, the Mets will hand Narvaez the day off. Tomas Nido will handle the catching for the Mets.
