Alonso went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Dodgers.
The first baseman has gone yard three times in his last five games and in back-to-back contests after bringing the Mets within a run with his seventh-inning blast Saturday. Alonso is on a seven-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 9-for-28 (.321) with eight RBI and six runs scored. He's up to a .258/.340/.509 slash line, 28 homers, 73 RBI, 62 runs scored and three stolen bases in 466 plate appearances as a productive slugger in the heart of the Mets' order.
