Alonso (elbow) is starting at first base and hitting third in Thursday's lineup against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Alonso exited Wednesday's game against San Francisco after being hit by a pitch on the elbow. Further tests revealed no significant damage and his presence in the lineup confirms that he didn't suffer a serious injury. Alonso is riding a four-game hitting streak, during which he's recorded one home run while driving in four and scoring three runs.
