Alonso went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 8-3 loss to the Nationals.
He gave the Mets a 3-0 lead in the top of the first by taking Aaron Sanchez deep, but the game was all Nats after that. Alonso has slugged five of his eight homers on the year in the last 12 games, a stretch during which he's slashed .333/.423/.711 with 12 RBI.
