Lugo (elbow) is expected to make two more rehab starts before rejoining the Mets, Daniel Popper of the New York Daily News reports.
That timetable would seem to imply that the team plans on adding Lugo into the rotation once he comes off the DL rather than use him out of the bullpen, but there's been no official announcement from the Mets on that front. The right-hander's current rehab schedule would have him ready to make his first big-league appearance of the season by the first weekend in June.
