D'Arnaud (shoulder) is closing in on a rehab assignment, ESPN New York reports.
The catcher has not participated in live game action since late-April, but he could embark on a rehab stint as early as this weekend. D'Arnaud is nursing a strained rotator cuff strain and figures to require several appearances before returning to New York, where he'll step back in as the primary catcher.
