Lopez was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Lopez spent a week and a half in the major-league bullpen and allowed two runs (one earned) in four innings over three appearances during his stint with the big-league club. The right-hander will head back to the minors as part of a move after Trevor May (triceps) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list.
