Triple-A Rochester placed King on the 7-day injured list July 3 with a left oblique strain.
King has split his age-23 season evenly between Double-A and Triple-A, although he was notably more impressive at Double-A (163 wRC+) than for Rochester (102 wRC+). He has a .306/.385/.504 slash line, 10 home runs, nine steals and a 20 percent strikeout rate in 68 games. Since getting to Triple-A, King has started 26 games at shortstop and seven games at second base.
