The Angels released Ramirez on Tuesday.
Ramirez had been included in the Angels' 60-man roster pool and was throwing regularly at the team's alternate training site, but a callup to the big club never came for the veteran reliever. The right-hander is now free to pursue opportunities with other organizations.
