Dodgers infielder Dee Gordon was not in the lineup Wednesday against the Phillies, but the shot he took to the head late in the team's previous game was not the reason why.
Manager Don Mattingly told MLB.com he was simply giving Gordon a day off to rest, and was feeling no ill effects after hitting his head on an infielder's knee Tuesday.
