Plutko recently accepted an assignment to Triple-A Norfolk after clearing waivers, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Plutko was DFA'd after allowing 17 runs on seven homers across his last 8.1 innings with Baltimore. He'll stay with the organization after failing to garner interest on the waiver wire but will likely face an uphill battle to return to the major-league roster by the end of the season.
