Suarez (7-4) picked up the win Friday, giving up two runs on eight hits over seven innings in a 5-3 victory over the Rockies. He struck out four without walking a batter.

The 34-year-old right-hander wasn't fazed by a trip to Coors Field, tossing 66 of 95 pitches for strikes en route to his fifth quality start of the season, and third in his last four trips to the mound. Suarez has been impressive since returning to the rotation, posting a 1.97 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB through 32 innings in August, and the Orioles could well keep him in that role even after Zach Eflin (shoulder) and Grayson Rodriguez (lat) get healthy. Suarez is scheduled to make his next start at home next week against the woeful White Sox.
