Povich did not factor into the decision in Friday's 7-5 win over the Astros, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five-plus innings.
Povich was mainly burned by two home runs and departed at 84 pitches without recording an out in the sixth inning. The southpaw impressed with a quality start in his last outing but missed just nine bats Friday and was bailed out by an eighth-inning rally from his offense. On the season, Povich owns an uninspiring 6.10 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 34:25 K:BB across 48.2 innings, and he lines up for a tough road matchup with the Dodgers next week.
