Irvin allowed a run on two hits and struck out two without walking a batter over three innings to earn the save in Monday's 13-3 win over the White Sox.
Irvin started last Tuesday, going 4.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers. Zach Eflin's return from a shoulder injury may have taken Irvin out of the rotation for now, but it's possible the 30-year-old southpaw gets a start this weekend against the Rays if Dean Kremer (forearm) isn't ready to go. Operating as a swingman in 2024, Irvin has a 4.74 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 73:25 K:BB over 106.1 innings while adding a 6-5 record, one save and one hold over 24 appearances (16 starts).
