Mateo was removed from Wednesday's game against the Nationals with an apparent lower-body injury, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Mateo came up limping after grounding out in the second inning. He's already battled ankle problems this season, so it's possible he might have aggravated an injury. For now, he should be considered day-to-day.
