Verrett cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Verrett will head back to Norfolk to serve as organizational pitching depth after passing through waivers untouched. The 27-year-old compiled a 4.22 ERA across 10.2 major-league innings this season, which is slightly better than his 4.62 ERA over 150 career big-league innings.
