Maton cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.
Maton was designated for assignment by Baltimore on Tuesday but will remain in the organization. He spent last season with the Tigers and had a .593 OPS in 93 games.
