The Orioles will call up Vavra from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
He'll join the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster as a replacement for infielder Connor Norby, who was sent to Miami along with outfielder Kyle Stowers in Tuesday's deal that shipped lefty Trevor Rogers to Baltimore. Unlike Norby, Vavra's upside is likely capped as a part-time player, at least as long as he's with the Orioles. The 27-year-old utility man slashed .269/.377/.423 with two home runs and two steals in 31 games at Triple-A. Vavra has made 14 starts at second base, five starts at third base, four starts at shortstop and two starts in left field for Norfolk.
